Bottega Veneta Spring 2010

I am a bag person.i really am.never would leave the house or my work place without a bag in hand.or a bigger bag for that matter.i would stuff things to it,would shop with it,window shop with it,even had one time used a big bag to put little snacks in it.
so when i saw what BV had offered for his menswear, totally had to post it.
Botttega Venetas spring 2010 designer Tomas Maier came up with looks that i would really wear!
i love all the bags,,,,covetable.
red loafers?haylovett!!!!
and so are the clothes.

BLING ME!!!

got some bling!working here in qatar has taught me quite a few things and tricks about blinging .back in my country, the blings are normally used during special occasions.here, even the normal house dresses are blinged out.
recalling the first time i came here,i had very little knowledge about accessorizing.imagine my horror when i designed a house dress(jalabeya)that had swarovski crystals enveloping the neck and arms.
as i grew accustomed to the practice of blinging,i eventually embraced blinging and as a result, added some crystals on my shirts, jeans and even my shoes.
will try to post pics of some of personal fave blinged items later.

ramadan time

i maybe gone for a month hence i updated this blog with spring and resort collections for 2010.i do hope that when i come back to do my blogging, i have some fresh ideas to post.
till then...
ramadan is almost near and you know that during ramadan time designers and shops have different timings.my work usually starts from 12:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon.and again from 8:30 till 2:30 in the morning.
so there.
till the next post.

Reem Acra Resort2010

a stunning resort collection by Reem Acra.jewel toned dresses spiced up with faux jewelry compliment the whole look.more of red carpet than resort ,but the point of view was there.
i j'adore it!!!

Miharayasuhiro Spring 2010

Mihara took his inspiration from The Little Prince and its author, Antoine de Saint-Exupery for spring 2010.the story is about a prince who journeys from his own planet and landing in the desert on earth.the result-a collection that had military influence and detailing, the palette had colors ranging from the Saharan sands,to a more darker palette, evoking the depths of space.

truly poetic from my own point of view.

spring 2010 the forecast,,,i see again the deconstructed suit, longer inner shirts worn with short-over-leggings finished with gladiator sandals.

is this a trend that we will watch out for?soon?

will i be wearing this soon?

keep you posted...

Max Azria Resort 2010

the designer, Lubov Azria's inspiration is that cool English girl- a bit bohemian, good legs, good fun,not afraid to wear her favorite pair of boots and pair it with a party dress.another forecast trend that i see -grecian,fluid shapes that fits light, not that tight on the body.

i see a variety of long and short looks but overall ,the collection stood out mainly because of its tailoring.very sharp in deatils and finishing.love it!!!

Comme Des Garcons Spring 2010

i had the feeling of happiness upon seeing this collection.a lot of patchwork and colors for spring got my attention.though i do not wear patchwork,or applique due to my age(DUUUHHHH) i decided to put it here as reference to what spring 2010 menswear forecast will be.

again,,deconstructed suits, stitched on top of another, layered long proportions,shorts-over-leggings,the middle eastern details.(prayer shawl tassles)sans gladiator sandals...
heart heart the collections footwear...

i forgot to add that i find her collection inspiring, fresh and whimsical.not to mention that its all about environmental recycling now.

kudos to Rei Kawakubo and her vision for spring 2010.
