Emmanuel Ungaro spring rtw2010

i admire the spunk the duo Estrella Archs and Lindsey Lohan designed for Emmanuel Ungaro spring rtw2010.i mean PASTIES?ok,,,maybe its a celebration of the bad 80's decade where the video of a wannabe comes out singing a badass chick song...in PASTIES...lol
so,im soo legit in this business.lol...
i may have had bad design days,but NEVER have i thought of sending someone in a runway or a client in PASTIES!!!

actually,,the first look(the fuchsia pink with baby pink photo above) wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.it has the rock and roll vibe chic that i expected from the duo.
that being said,maybe they just had little time to edit their collection.
please bring back Esteban Cortezar!!!!pleasssseeee........

Prabal Gurung spring 2010 rtw

such a beautiful spring collection.from the color to cut,his 26 piece rtw collection is tight and well crafted.

you can see in his collection the infusion of old world techniques with cutting edge modernity that makes his dresses fresh.

i love his take on classics with a twist,minimal yet divine.
looking forward for his next collection.

year in fashion 2009 Lady GaGa

i heart Lady GaGa.as this post clearly shows,dozens of style icons before you failed to show up in my blog simply because,
a. youre soo out there;
b.youre what the 21st century fashion is all about;
c.youve curtsied the queen with pasties attached on your face.
well,,,even madonna and her current "fame" inspired legwarmers fall in the ancient archive.
they have this saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and normally anyone who can see past the veil that you wear,will say that you dnt look it.but you will always be a an inspiration to me.
remember fierceness is YOU!!!!

Marchesa spring 2010

Georgina Chapman of Marchesa presented a tight 25 piece collection for spring 2010.understandably she took inspiration from madame butterfly as models came out with origami,obi-esque pleats and folds.
red carpet worthy!!!

Balmain spring 2010

Christophe Decarnin the man behind Balmain is sizzling!!!!he first brought back those super shoulder pads in jackets and now for spring he toyed with the disco glamazon,camouflage sequinned looks that me lovey-lovey.actually sequinned day wear is sooo hot right now,,that even i have a few tees with bling on them.
what makes Balmain interesting is that he has the mass market appeal that is directed to the couture crowd.models love his looks,socialites,rockstars adore his rockstar vibe.i even know arabic ladies of royal lineage who splurge on his frocks.
love the look for spring!!!

Rodarte spring 2010

Kate and Laura Mulleavy design sisters behind the label Rodarte had madmax,part Tim burton and a singed woman transforming into a condor as muse on their spring 2010 collection.
its ugly-beautiful aesthetic.how they transformed,burned,draped and pieced together different fabrics to form dresses are beyond me,but looking at their dream-like point of view which is btw very strong ,marrying tribal and futuristic is "FIERCE"!!!!
and btw,,,i love FIERCE...and inspired FIERCE that is.

Alexander McQueen s/s2010

its a visually stunning collection,edgy and me lovey-lovey.
a lot of fashion critics called his collection a one note, from the use of digital reptillian prints,short dresses and grotesque shoes that looked like sea monster heads.
i on the other hand dont care what fashion critics think of his new found way of expressing fashion.he embraces edgy digital prints and drama that way puts him above cutting edge.
