Marchesa spring 2010

Georgina Chapman of Marchesa presented a tight 25 piece collection for spring 2010.understandably she took inspiration from madame butterfly as models came out with origami,obi-esque pleats and folds.
red carpet worthy!!!

Balmain spring 2010

Christophe Decarnin the man behind Balmain is sizzling!!!!he first brought back those super shoulder pads in jackets and now for spring he toyed with the disco glamazon, camouflage sequinned looks that me lovey-lovey.actually sequinned day wear is sooo hot right now,,that even i have a few tees with bling on them.
what makes Balmain interesting is that he has the mass market appeal that is directed to the couture crowd.models love his looks, socialites, rockstars adore his rockstar vibe.i even know arabic ladies of royal lineage who splurge on his frocks.
love the look for spring!!!

Rodarte spring 2010

Kate and Laura Mulleavy design sisters behind the label Rodarte had madmax, part Tim burton and a singed woman transforming into a condor as muse on their spring 2010 collection.
its ugly-beautiful aesthetic.how they transformed, burned, draped and pieced together different fabrics to form dresses are beyond me,but looking at their dream-like point of view which is btw very strong ,marrying tribal and futuristic is "FIERCE"!!!!
and btw,,,i love FIERCE...and inspired FIERCE that is.

Alexander McQueen s/s2010

its a visually stunning collection, edgy and me lovey-lovey.
a lot of fashion critics called his collection a one note, from the use of digital reptillian prints, short dresses and grotesque shoes that looked like sea monster heads.
i on the other hand dont care what fashion critics think of his new found way of expressing fashion.he embraces edgy digital prints and drama that way puts him above cutting edge.

im back!!!!

a preview of my work.....

well,,,ive been busy for the past months and work literally piled till my neck.guess what, since ive been virtually dead for a couple of months a co-blogger dropped me as his co-author.really sad,but hey,ive got to move on to the next level.

while his blog focuses mainly on OFW the lives and so forth, mine focuses more on fashion and people in the creative side.

come to think of it,,,im not sad anymore.not really a good fit to have a co-author who barely touches on the creative and me as a co-author couldnt really relate as an OFW.moving on....
