Miharayasuhiro Spring 2010

Mihara took his inspiration from The Little Prince and its author, Antoine de Saint-Exupery for spring 2010.the story is about a prince who journeys from his own planet and landing in the desert on earth.the result-a collection that had military influence and detailing,the palette had colors ranging from the Saharan sands,to a more darker palette,evoking the depths of space.

truly poetic from my own point of view.

spring 2010 the forecast,,,i see again the deconstructed suit,longer inner shirts worn with short-over-leggings finished with gladiator sandals.

is this a trend that we will watch out for?soon?

will i be wearing this soon?

Comme Des Garcons Spring 2010

i had the feeling of happiness upon seeing this collection.a lot of patchwork and colors for spring got my attention.though i do not wear patchwork,or applique due to my age(DUUUHHHH) i decided to put it here as reference to what spring 2010 menswear forecast will be.

again,,deconstructed suits,stitched on top of another,layered long proportions,shorts-over-leggings,the middle eastern details.(prayer shawl tassles)sans gladiator sandals...

heart heart the collections footwear...

i forgot to add that i find her collection inspiring,fresh and whimsical.not to mention that its all about environmental recycling now.

kudos to Rei Kawakubo and her vision for spring 2010.

Givenchy Spring 2010

Ricardo Tisci's collection in one word FIERCE!!!-his collection imho,,has given fierceness in active sportswear a new meaning.Mosh pit couture was the word coined up by fashion writers since he started doing the short-over-legging for menswear 2 seasons ago.the collection was inspired by a Latino going to North Africa.

the collection reminded me of Kris van Assche's , deconstructed suits,the short-over-leggings finished with gladiator sandals.gladiator sandals?hmmmmm....whats with the short-over-leggings gladiator sandal trend?

will it be the trend ill be seeing in Qatar soon?
